What clear liquids are allowed prior to a colonoscopy?
Coffee without cream, tea, sprite/7up, water, apple juice, chicken/beef broth, green popsicles, green jello.
What medication can be taken the morning of the procedures?
blood pressure, heart medicine, seizure medicine
What if I am on blood thinners?
If you do not stop your blood thinner according to the schedule the office provided to you, your procedure may be canceled.
The following blood thinner- Coumadin/Warfarin requires a PT INR 5 days prior to your procedure.
What if I have diabetes?
If you are taking insulin, please call your primary doctor for adjustment of dose.
When to stop oral diabetic medicine: The evening dose the day before the procedure
When should I pick up colonoscopy prep from the pharmacy?
Call your pharmacy in advance to make sure they have the prescribed preparation in stock.
