A board-certified gastroenterologist, Dr. Arun Ohri is a pioneer of the latest medical technological advancements in the field of gastroenterology. He was the first physician outside of clinical trials to employ the “Smart Pill” GI monitoring system and one of the first gastroenterologists in the Chicago area to utilize the Barrx and TIF procedure. Dr. Ohri has been named as one of Chicago’s top doctors by Castle Connelly Medical Ltd. for the past 14 years and is highlighted in the Consumer Research Council of America’s edition of “America’s Top Physicians.”

He earned his medical degree from Maulana Azad Medical School, University of Delhi, New Delhi, India. He was chief resident of Internal Medicine and conducted his fellowship in Gastroenterology at Cook County Hospital, Chicago.

Dr. Olen is a board-certified general surgeon at the Chicago Reflux and Heartburn Center. He is experienced in Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy, Appendectomy and Herniorrhaphy and trained in Advanced Laparoscopic Bowel Procedures. Dr. Olen is trained in the LINX Reflux Management System, and has been performing the hiatal hernia/TIF procedure for 10 years.

A board-certified Nurse Practitioner, Simi Jesto Joseph assists physicians with highly advanced endoscopic procedures, including ablation treatment, TIF and endoscopic GERD therapy. She is experienced in administering and interpreting the PH monitoring system, Manometry, PH impedence study, small bowel capsule endoscopy,  smart pill, and ESO pill monitoring systems. Dr. Joseph provides treatment to patients with GI conditions in acute care and outpatient clinic settings. Her area of interest is Inflammatory Bowel Disease and Hepatitis C treatment. She received her Bachelors of Science in Nursing from MAHE University, India and her Masters of Science in Advanced Practice Nursing from North park University, Chicago, and Doctor of Nursing Practice degree from Loyola University, Chicago.  She is committed to the evidence-based quality treatment outcome of all patients in this practice.
